Disneyland Hotels and Some of the Best Theme Parks in the World

by Steve Alexander

With so many global Disney resorts to choose from, you'll be able to explore a feng shui inspired Fantasyland or visit the original California park. Join in the magic and book a trip to one of the amazing Disneyland hotels and you will certainly not be disappointed.

As the world's most-visited recreational resort and the largest of the Disney parks, a holiday to Walt Disney World in Florida is hard to beat. Home to four major theme parks, two water parks, hotels and nightlife, there is so much to do if you can drag yourself away from the luxury of the Florida hotels.

A worthy predecessor to its east coast sibling is the Disneyland Park, with its wide range of attractions, cheap hotels and restaurants. Test your head for heights on Mickey's Fun Wheel and the California Screamin' at the neighbouring Disney California Adventure Park for all the fun of a traditional fair, or simply enjoy all things Californian.

The first of many Disney theme parks to be built outside of the US was Tokyo Disneyland, which sparked an Asian invasion by Mickey Mouse and his friends. It has become one of the most-visited theme parks in the world and with four themed lands, it follows the traditional format of Disney but focuses on open spaces.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2012, Disneyland Paris has been welcoming small and big kids alike for the past two decades. Combining the charm of Paris with the magic of Disney, it's one of France and Europe's most popular attractions too. Encounter some of Disney's most popular rides here, including the Pirates of the Caribbean and It's a Small World.

Bringing together east and west with a bit of magic, Hong Kong Disneyland unites all your favourite characters with traditional Chinese culture. Incorporating elements of feng shui as well as the usual fun the park comprises the four classic Disney lands with another three added in the near future.
